Awesome Book Giveaway!

I'm always wondering who actually reads my blog and if anyone is getting any entertainment out of it other than myself and a handful of friends. I know you people exist! To commemorate my (almost) 225th post as well as a year anniversary from when I moved to Paris and started pastry school, I've decided to give you, yes YOU something. That's right folks. Who doesn't like free stuff??

When moving to France I decided to amp up my France related literature. That includes reading lots about Julia Child, scanning the 2009 Michelin Guide for Paris, and of course packing a book by one of my favorite food bloggers, David Lebovitz. He's a really nice guy. I've met him a couple times and he actually let me pay for one of my books using metro tickets (hey I was a few euros short!). His book, The Sweet Life in Paris, is witty, funny and full of great recipes, my favorite being the madeleines. It was nice to know that someone else could relate to all the administrative and cultural weirdness I was going through. I figure if someone could laugh about how backwards the postal system, bank and bureaucracy is, so could I. I really enjoyed this book. In fact I enjoyed it so much, I want one of you to have a copy!

But that's not all! I'm going to throw in a couple things for fun. A slice of sponge cake (actually its a sponge... shaped like a cake), and two hard boiled egg molds. The molds are pretty cool. You hard boil some eggs and put them in the molds while still warm. After a few hours in the fridge, the egg will come out taking the shape of the mold. Gotta hand it to those inventive Japanese.

To enter for the giveaway drawing, just respond with a comment to this post. Want to double your chances of winning? Of course you do. Repost my giveaway blog link on your twitter, facebook, blog, etc and post THAT link in the comments too! The giveaway ends on Monday, September 27th at Midnight PST! Good luck!

Been following your blog for a few months now. I must confess to feeling a bit of envy. I've been to Paris one time but really loved it. My friend and I spent hours walking in the city and it was wonderful...even if we got rained on more than once! I congratulate you on following your dream!

Been reading your blog since the week you left to Paris. Loved all the pics.!!!!

I love collecting cookbooks BUT I don't cook...go figure. Use to have a lot of guilt about that until I read that Ella Fitzgerald collected cookbooks from her travels but didnt' cook either...so I'm in cook company.

If I win the egg molds...I would absolutely boil some eggs!!!!
