Similar to escargot, its an acquired taste and flavor if you can get past the texture. Out of their shells, these guys aren't much to look at. Quite frankly, they look kind of gross, so I won't post a picture here. I also picked up some tiny shrimp to boil alongside the bigorneau, but it turns out 90% of them were pregnant and that made them a whole lot more difficult to eat. Suffice it to say... I probably killed a thousand sea creatures.
